Have you forgot what Christmas is all about?

Sometimes we forget what the season is all about.

  1. I firmly believe as each Christmas arrives, we get further and further from the true reason we celebrate Christmas and the fact it is not about gifts under a decorated tree but a celebration of the birth of a Savior. Every year the Christ of Christmas slowly fades as various secular entities decide to take down nativity scenes and to proclaim “Happy Holidays” instead of Merry Christmas” just in case they might offend someone of another faith. This country was founded by deists – those who believed in God. To take God out of the equation and make this holiday about silly reindeer and gaudy decorations must have them rolling over in their graves. It makes no difference when Christ was actually born; Dec 25 is when Christians celebrate his miraculous birth. Without Christ we are nothing; with Him we have been saved from our sins and will have eternal life with Him. So, there’s my sermonizing for the day! Gee can you tell I’m getting geared up for my next Theology course? LOL Hugs and blessings!

  2. Those are thought provoking words, I am a little ashamed to say I have been leaving all sorts of comments about Christmas decorations, presents and shopping that I am a little guilty of getting things out of perspective.

I really must stop getting carried along with all the commercialism. Thank you for reminding me.

Wishing you a lovely, lovely peaceful Christmas.

    Best Wishes
    Sandy.

    1. Hi Sandy, well….I have also been guilty of this. I’m sorry to say. It’s not about the shopping, presents or decorations is it. May you and yours find joy, love and peace this year.
      Love you!
      M
